Year 9 begins with a bang!

The last couple of weeks have been wonderful in that I've once again been shown how much my Father is involved in my life. I asked for a quote on a shed/greenhouse from the contractor that fixed the door/leaking issue in the garage. With all the fixing etc that has needed to be done this year I've pretty much drained my savings. So, I decided that I should see about taking on some clients on the side to start saving up money for the shed/greenhouse. At least I think it'll be for that!! Might have to do taxes first! Within a couple of days of making that decision a previous client emailed me and asked if I would catch him up. He knew I'd moved but could I still help him? Then about a week and a half later another previous client called asking for help. I did his books for 21 years. He's been through 2 bookkeepers since I left so I'll go back to his books using remote access. There was another client that I still have on my Online Quickbooks and after taking a quick look asked if they needed help. Turns out she's been praying that I would be able to help.  The bookkeeper that they briefly helped didn't do such a good job. After catching all of them up and getting year-end taken care of I'll see if I want to take on anymore clients. I do know I need to be very careful about how much extra work to take on. I liked being outside as much as possible this last summer and I have a garden area to block out and prepare that will be in the sun for a lot longer than it was behind the house and there's flower beds to prepare this next summer too.

Christina and I had a wonderful 10 days together. It was sooo nice to have her here. Cousins also dropped by and stayed the night Saturday before Christmas. So very nice! Hopefully they can do the same on their way back to Montana! Let me know if anyone needs a place to stay on their way east or west on I-84! If Christina isn't here I have a couple of rooms and sleeping bags if that isn't enough! :) Christina got to spend yesterday with Erika and the girls. Erika gets every other Friday off so it worked out really well! The girls are growing up so very quick!

It snowed all day long on Christmas. By Wednesday morning we ended up with about 2 inches. It snowed again last night just a bit. Enough to coat the ground but not much more. It's so pretty out between the two snowfalls! It's dry enough that it sure makes shoveling easy! I'm trying to keep the driveway clean for meetings. It's much easier to do it each morning rather than waiting! It gives the driveway time to dry out. There's at least less ice build up anyway!

A Quick note to Dave/a few pics

Dave, if you are reading this I wanted to let you know that you have been and will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I don't know what the future holds for either of us but please know that, even if it is as just friends, your welcome back into my life anytime. I felt a strong urge to let you know that and since this is the only place I can connect with you I'm just putting it out there. :)

Winter has set in. A couple of weeks ago we had a 5* morning! The Snake River froze over in Rupert but is thawing out now since the highs have gotten into the 30's this last week. They'll be in the 40's for several days this week before dropping again. There's been some snow but not much all things considered. The snow drifts pretty good in areas around here. We had one day last week that it did that and it made for an interesting drive back home. Road could be perfectly clear and then all the sudden there's a bunch of snow to drive through.

Christina is going to be home for around 10 days starting tomorrow and then she'll head to Portland. It's special meeting time in January. She spent several days with Grandma Bobbie the end of July/first of August. It went very well I think. Teagan also spent a couple of nights with her just this last week! Erika said it went well.
