Horray!! :)

Deadline met for filing 1099's and W-2's with the state! Whew!! They're due Thursday and I was able to finish them today. Whew! :)

It's supposed to be an absolutely gorgeous week so here's hoping that I can get out and get a few things planted. Fred Meyer has Pansy's on sale this week so I pick a few of those up to plant a petty pot. And Fuchsia's, can't forget the fuchsia's! Bummed that they didn't have trailing Geraniums though. Maybe the store next to me will....

Just in time!

Yay! I got my motivation back today. Just in time because I now have a ton of work to push out in the next week! I really wish my anxiety issues connected to that missing husband of mine didn't cause such a lack of motivation! But luckily it doesn't last very long now.

Business has been beyond awesome this tax season. Every other tax season has pretty much been the same as the rest of the year, for the most part, but not this year! I've had my best March ever and it's due strictly to new business connected to tax season. May should be a telling month of what it'll be like month to month for the rest of the year. Fingers crossed it does well!

Next week is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous after Monday. Maybe our first 70's of the year??? Maybe pea's and lettuce can get planted!! I sure hope so!

Tough day

Today has, bar none, been the worst day I've had in a really long time. Work is great but between anxiety and someone else's issue my mind/body has been in a tizzy today. Sigh.... Yep, lots of sigh's today since that help's ease the anxiety temporarily. I think it's because something I really haven't had to face has become real and it's not an easy thing to accept. Really vague I know but that's exactly what is most likely going on. A step that I didn't even think of going through; connected with Dave's disappearance. But really a necessary one.

Ahh... Spring!

Today was so gorgeous! A wonderful 67*. Unfortunately I worked most the day at a clients but did get home in time to mow the lawn for the first time this spring! I'm very excited that some of the plants that normally don't make through a winter here did this year. Although I'm hoping for a cold winter next year! There's going to be bugs galore this Spring/Summer. :(   Maybe the end of next week I can get some peas and lettuce seeds planted.

This evening has been a weird one in ways that I can't really explain here but it has led my thoughts to Dave. And as a result tonight has NOT been a productive night for working. Grr! Things just get weirder and weirder. I'm very thankful that tomorrow is Sunday!

Grape Hyacinth poking out from under the bleeding heart.

Bleeding Hearts are in full bloom!

The first tulip that's not white!

It's a white bloom time of year in this section of the yard!

A wider view of my 'white section'

A nice patch of daffodils

I love these daffodils

Yay! I thought I'd lost all these Penstemon so excited one is still left! I think this is a purple one.

It's hard to tell but this is one I didn't expect to make it! It's a pineapple sage and smells
very yummy! Right at the base there is green poking through. Yay!! :)

Chives are doing quite well!!

Lots of blooms on the Honey berry plants!

Argh.... Help?

So this is getting to be way overwhelming which means I need to take deep breaths and go hour by hour and ask my Father for help! In the last week I've had call for someone interested in knowing about the payroll side of the business, possibly would send payroll clients my way and that was thanks to a client referral. A call from a bank for a get to know meeting. A call from a lady from NW Mutal for a get to know (this is probably a sales but you never know!).  Two calls from a lady who's an EA and sends clients my way that need help catching up books to do back taxes. I've met one and will meet the other one next week. One's a for sure client and the other sounds like a for sure one. A call from another lady who was referred by a CPA, that one sounds like a for sure one as well. When all is said and done they're small ones but it's the catch up that's the trick! And that is all in the last week! Help????

The really cool thing is a client I was at yesterday said they were very happy with my work. It was one that I bought from a bookkeeper going out of business. So that was exciting!

Now add on trying to switch banks for my dad and coordinating betweeen Klamath Falls and Portland and that makes life even more interesting. And trying to get rid of a property that's worth next to nothing to clear a trust. Uhg!

Exciting and scary times!

Wow!

Well, it's an amazing month and it's only the 10th! So many things are happening last month and this month that I'm scrambling to get on my head wrapped around it! I'm wondering if the next step of this business is happening. I'm getting calls for one on one networking this month, which is awesome! And the CPA I met with last month has indeed followed through on passing my name on to other businesses. Some will work out, some won't. That's just the way it works! :) Two more busy months left!

It's hard to tell but this was one of the most vibrant rainbows I've ever seen!

And the sunset just a couple of hours later

And my baby! :) She does love to cuddle!

Exciting place to be!

A milestone has been reached! A client asked me about having someone he just hired enter deposits and pay bills and all I felt was relief! She is quite familiar with QuickBooks and takes care of NSF checks the same way i do so I feel like this will work out quite well! I'll do bank reconciliation and month end closing.  That means I have more time to devote to the work I have off site and that is quite a relief!! What an amazing and exciting place to be!:) Even more exciting is that hiring a part time bookkeeper for data entry feels quite right at this point.

And I get to enjoy looking out a sunshine. Even better! It poured earlier today but gorgeous at the moment.

Gorgeous day!
