Well, our ice is all gone now but I'm feeling the repercussions of it a week later! Stepped on some ice on the way to the mailbox and managed to 'punch' myself in the ribs! Oh my! I've never had bruised ribs so I'm now feeling for others that have had them in a very real sense! Somehow, someway one hand ended up under me (I was holding a piece of mail) and I landed directly on that fist. Luckily I've had Bowenworks done long enough that I could a little on myself and actually have no bruising on the outside. It could be a lot worse but it's certainly bad enough that I know it's there! :) I hope it heals quickly!
Us Pacific North-westerner's can be so finicky! :) All it takes is one event like that and we're done! We excitedly wait for the snow/ice and then promptly wish it gone. However we've seen it all this winter now! East and South Windstorms, Flooding rains, thunderstorms, snow and ice can all be checked off! That doesn't often happen all in a couple of months in this area. But we, at least I :), do love our weather. And so much for that split flow! Lots of rain coming again this next week. We're making up in spades the lack of rain from the last year or two.
I love how well Christina is doing. It's tough moving out and learning all the in's and out's of what it's like to live on your own. There's been some learning curve but I have really appreciated her willingness to learn. Instead of the back going up on a reminder note that's left, there's the attitude of that's good to know! I'll be more careful! She's doing very well a work as well. The pizza place is going really well. She got to close the last two days. The school job is going well but kids can be very sweet or nasty so each day is a journey in itself. :) It sure sounds like Erika's doing well in her job as well. She's loving it! Some are just meant to do physical labor and not sit at a desk! She had me in laughing so hard about Scarlet's antics that I think I set myself back on the ribs healing. :( But oh my can that girl tell a story! :)
My business is going really well. Yay!! So here I sit looking at an email that has just come through debating if I have enough time for a one day a week on-site job. I do love being in that spot! :) Then there's the taxes that come with it. Uhg!! So much for trying to save! However I do love the work of my Father that's faithful in providing. When I saw some money coming in earlier then normal my immediate thought was, oh dear, I wonder what my taxes are going to be this quarter. Sure enough... I send the information to the accountant and she sends me back what my final payment should be. And my payroll income this quarter will be exclusively for taxes. Bummer!! It is nice to know that I don't need to stress about it! Each step in life is taken care of when the proper order is in place. Am I seeking strength and guidance in the morning or running out the door with no time taken with my Father? There's been many a day that I'm not sure what I would have done without that help and there's been several days that I wondered what I was thinking to leave without getting the strength that I needed. There are some people that I just can't deal with without that help! The last five years have been really good for me in many, many ways! Now to keep the proper priorities and attitude going forward and we'll see where the next five years lead!
